Thirty-nine Manchester United fans were arrested in Milan this morning after vandalising a tram ahead of tonight's Champions League match against Juventus in Turin.
The driver of the vehicle alerted the police when supporters damaged the roof of one of the cars.
The fans were taken to a nearby police station and were charged with criminal damage and interrupting public services.
Around 1,500 United fans, many of whom were staying in Milan, are expected at the Delle Alpi stadium for the Group D second phase match against the Italian champions.
