Police officers were attacked by a 100-strong mob in west Belfast last night.
The rioting flared up when officers responded to reports of dangerous driving in Albert Street at around 6.30 p.m. yesterday.
When officers arrived, their vehicles were attacked by about 70 youths armed with stones, bricks and other missiles.
They managed to calm the situation but were called back to the area an hour later and were confronted by a crowd that had grown to about 100 people.
