Police investigating the murder of PSNI officer Ronan Kerr have arrested a man in Scotland.
Mr Kerr (25) was killed when a booby-trap bomb exploded under his car in Omagh, Co Tyrone, on Saturday.
News of the arrest emerged after religious, civic, political and sporting figures joined hundreds of local people for Mr Kerr's funeral in the Tyrone village of Beragh
The murder has been blamed on dissident republicans opposed to the peace process. Strathclyde Police said the suspect was detained in Renton, Dunbartonshire.
Today's arrest comes following a "significant" haul of arms, including rocket launcher components and detonators in Coalisland, east Tyrone, last night.
The cache also included four Kalashnikov rifles and possibly Semtex explosive.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde police said: “Strathclyde Police can confirm that a 26-year-old male was arrested at approximately 1.10pm on Main Street, Renton, Dunbartonshire.
“This arrest was made by Strathclyde Police officers in relation to an ongoing investigation led by the Police Service of Northern Ireland.”
