A police operation is under way after a report claimed today that fraud in the workplace was costing Northern Ireland businesses millions of pounds.
The study by accountants PricewaterhouseCoopers revealed almost 40 per cent of major
firms in the North suffered economic crime over the past two years, with the majority of incidents "inside jobs".
The crimes ranged from Internet fraud to embezzlement, with fraud by bosses and workers posing a greater threat to companies.
