The call came as officers released more details of where the gold or beige Audi Coupe car was bought before being left in Smallbrook Queensway on the evening of November 3rd.

The bomb, packed into an E-reg second-hand car that was bought earlier that day from Junction 10 Car Sales in Walsall failed to detonate fully.

Det Chief Supt Ellie Baker of West Midlands Police said: "We are hopeful that this further release of information about the events of Saturday November 3rd will permit more witnesses to come forward.

She said detectives believed two white men are believed to be involved in the bombing but that it was not clear whether one or both visited the Walsall garage.
