The RUC would neither confirm nor deny yesterday that any request had been received from German police for help in tracing a Belfast actor whom they wish to interview about a mortar attack on a British army base at Osnabruck.
According to local media reports, the actor was named in an arrest warrant issued by the German police in early August after the attack on Osnabruck barracks. The reports said the German authorities wished to question him.
The RUC could not confirm that such a warrant existed.
