Aer Rianta has been given approval to make a bid for a 40 per cent share in Birmingham Airport in partnership with a leading London financial institution, the Transport Minister, Mr Lowry, said in a written reply to Mr Ball O'Keeffe (FF). Aer Rianta would make a further submission to the Department before any final decision was made, the Minister said.
