Pensions of former presidents and ministers detailed

Dr Patrick Hillery, received a pension of £60,137 last year. Another former president, Mrs Mary Robinson, received £59,459

Dr Patrick Hillery, received a pension of £60,137 last year. Another former president, Mrs Mary Robinson, received £59,459. Mrs Rita Childers, widow of Mr Erskine Childers, former president, received £30,069.

The figures are contained in the 1998 Finance Accounts, published yesterday by the Department of Finance.

Mr Charles Haughey received the second-highest pension of former Taoisigh, with £43,129. The highest was Mr Albert Reynolds (£44,103), with Dr Garret FitzGerald receiving £40,898.
