The latest opinion poll on Nice shows that 41 per cent will vote in favour of the Treaty although 24 per cent have yet to decide just a week before the referendum.
Twenty seven per cent of those surveyed said they would vote against the referendum, while eight per cent said they wouldn't vote.
The Sunday Independent/IMS poll, published today, shows that while the Government's satisfaction rating has fallen from 58 per cent to 31 per cent, voters appear to be ready to vote favourably on Nice.
The public's satisfaction with Mr Bertie Ahern has also fallen to its lowest level, 43 per cent, since he became Taoiseach.
The poll also showed that 84 per cent of those questioned believe that the Minister for Finance misled the public about cutbacks.
The poll was carried out last Thursday.
