London - Pop mogul Jonathan King yesterday denied a string of sex offences against male youths - one as young as 13 - when he appeared at the Old Bailey. King (56), of Bayswater, central London, replied "Not guilty" as each of the 14 charges was put to him at a brief pre-trial hearing. He has denied eight charges alleging buggery, two of attempted buggery, and four indecent assaults.

His trial is expected to start in September. The offences are alleged to have been committed on various dates between 1969 and 1987, and to have involved males, and boys aged from 13 to 15.
