A bank porter has been found guilty by a jury at the Central Criminal Court of raping his manager's daughter about 20 years ago. The jury returned its unanimous verdicts on all the charges after almost four hours' deliberations following a four-day trial.
The 54-year-old married man, a father of three, denied the charges of rape, unlawful carnal knowledge and indecent assault on dates from 1979 to 1982.
Mr Justice O'Sullivan remanded him in custody for sentence on January 21st next, and directed the preparation of probation and victim impact reports.
