A post-mortem is being carried out this afternoon on the body of an 18-month-old Co Kildare baby.
The child was admitted to Naas General Hospital at around midday. It is believed she was suffering from head injuries.
The Assistant State pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy is carrying out the examination at the moment and results are expected later today.
