A post-mortem is to be held today on the body of the 24-year-old man who was shot dead outside Cloverhill Prison in Clondalkin, west Dublin yesterday afternoon.

Convicted drug dealer Johnathon O'Reilly was sitting in car outside the prison at around 3.15 p.m. waiting for another man, who was visiting an inmate.

A motorbike then approached with two people aboard.  The man, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was shot through the window three times.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Tallaght General Hospital.
