THOUSANDS of passengers were stranded on tube trains after a system wide power cut last night.

London Transport said later that power was gradually being restored and trains would be coming into stations to allow passengers off.
A spokeswoman said: "Power is in the process of being restored, to take trains that are stuck back to stations. But we are not yet running a full service."
