Dion Dublin is in contention for Villa after a three-match ban for head-butting Birmingham midfielder Robbie Savage and Juan Pablo Angel could also return following knee surgery and scoring twice for the reserves against Bolton in midweek.
Chelsea are without Mario Stanic (Achilles), Jesper Gronkjaer (groin) and Jody Morris (thigh). All three missed Saturday's 1-0 success against Bolton.

Danny Murphy and El-Hadji Diouf will return to Liverpool's squad after injury. A ricked neck kept Murphy out of last weekend's 2-0 win over Fulham and Diouf was sidelined with a shin infection - but skipper Sami Hyypia is serving a one-match suspension and Stephane Henchoz has a calf injury, so Igor Biscan will partner Djimi Traore in central defence.

Boro boss Steve McLaren has fitness doubts over George Boateng (ankle) and Michael Ricketts (Achilles). Doriva could deputise for Boateng if the former Aston Villa player is ruled out.

David Seaman is a major doubt with a high temperature and Robert Pires will play if he suffered no reaction on his return from an ankle injury. Sylvain Wiltord may come into contention.

Lucas Radebe is struggling with knee problems and is Peter Reid's main doubt. If Radebe misses out, either Dominic Matteo or Danny Mills will partner Michael Duberry in the Leeds defence.
