A retired priest was further remanded on bail when he appeared at Donegal District Court yesterday charged with 111 counts of sexual abuse of young boys.
The 70-year-old is charged with abusing 22 boys at five locations from 1965 to 1982. He was accompanied in court by his brother and during the short hearing remained silent.
Judge John O'Donnell remanded him on continuing bail of £35,000. As a condition of the bail he must sign on at a local Garda station once a week.
He will appear at Donegal town Circuit Court on December 3rd, when the case is expected to be heard.
