Worker directors at Aer Rianta and union activists from Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports have decided to campaign against privatisation. The SIPTU general secretary, Mr John McDonnell, said after a meeting in Liberty Hall, Dublin, yesterday that the workers would "co-ordinate worker power to repel unwelcome advances by big business interests based solely on profit".
