The Hague - UN war crimes prosecutors detailed genocide charges against the Bosnian Serb officer, Gen Radislav Krstic, yesterday, alleging he was a key figure in the massacre of thousands of Bosnian Muslims in and around Srebrenica.
The indictment, issued a month ago, had been kept under seal to improve the chances of arresting Gen Krstic - among the international criminal tribunal's most wanted men. Gen Krstic was detained on Wednesday by US NATO troops in Bosnia.
The 13-page indictment alleges Gen Krstic stood beside the former Bosnian Serb military commander, Gen Ratko Mladic, during the Srebrenica massacre.
