Commuters in Dublin are likely to face traffic delays later today when the week long tractor protest by farmers converges on Dublin.

While morning traffic is expected to be unaffected by the protesting farmers, delays are anticipated this afternoon.

Today's protest sees six separate convoys converging on Dublin's Merrion Square. Each convoy will consist of 50 tractors.

Gardaí will escort the convoys to and from their rallying points. They will use bus lanes where possible to minimise disruption.
