The PSNI will today renew an appeal for information into the death of a German tourist who was killed in Co Antrim 20 years ago.

The body of Inga Maria Hauser (18) was found in a shallow grave in Ballypatrick forest, near Ballycastle, on April 21st, 1988. She had suffered a broken neck.

Police investigating the murder are expected to give an update on the case today. They believe that whoever killed Ms Hauser and buried her body was familiar with that remote part of the forest.

Ms Hauser had travelled to Cardiff and then decided to go to Scotland and Northern Ireland. She was last seen alive on the Stranraer to Larne ferry on April 6th.
