PSNI arrests four in house raids

Police in Northern Ireland have arrested four people over alleged dissident republican activity.

Police in Northern Ireland have arrested four people over alleged dissident republican activity.

Three men and a woman were detained in Toome, Co Antrim, and Pomeroy, Carrickmore and Omagh in Co Tyrone.

Houses in those areas are being searched. The three men are aged 33, 44, and 46, while the woman is 37. They are being questioned at Antrim police station.

The PSNI later arrested another man (45) in the Cookstown area this afternoon. He was taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

Following a number of searches, several cars were also seized. A search in Cookstown is ongoing.
