The Police Service of Northern Ireland is investigating a petrol bomb attack on a house in north Belfast last night.
The device caused minor scorch damage when it hit a house in Gunnell Hill in the Whitewell area at about midnight.
A PSNI spokesman said tensions were raised when about 40 people gathered from both sides of the community.
"Police, with the assistance of community representatives, managed to contain the situation," he said.
The disturbance ended at 3.30am. Last Thursday, two houses were damaged in separate petrol bomb attacks in Enniskillen in County Fermanagh and Ahoghill in County Antrim.
A man was arrested in Co Down today in connection with an arson attack on a house in Downpatrick.
A burning rag was thrown through a broken window at the front of the house in Rathbeg Close at about 2am.
A PSNI spokeswoman said a man in the house at the time was uninjured. She added that police inquiries into the attack were continuing.
