Police in Northern Ireland are continuing their search for the missing shop assistant Lisa Dorrian (25) from Bangor, Co Down.

Miss Dorrian went missing after a party at a caravan site last week in the village of Ballyhalbert, Co Down.

She was last at the site on an disused airfield seen at around 5am last Monday, leaving her handbag and personal belongings at the scene.

This morning the PSNI were stopping traffic and questioning drivers in the village; over the weekend air-and-land searches were carried out along a stretch of the Ards Peninsula.

Ms Dorrian's father, John, made a plea to his daughter last night, saying: "If she is out there and sees all this involvement by the police and the media it doesn't matter. "Don't worry about it, come back. Just please come back."
