Police in the North are treating a gun attack on a Co Armagh family as
attempted murder.
A husband and wife and their 17-year-old son escaped injury when three shots were fired at the home in the Meadowbrook area of Craigavon last night.
Police said they were "extremely fortunate" not to have been injured.
A first shot damaged the family's car, which was parked at the back of the
house.
A second shattered the bathroom window as the woman ran upstairs to her
husband and son. The third, a shotgun blast, shattered the son's bedroom window, showering the room with glass.
A police spokesman said they were treating the attack as attempted murder, but did not believe it had either sectarian or paramilitary motive.
Officers were following a definite line of inquiry and appealed for
information from anyone who saw a group of men acting suspiciously in the area shortly before the shooting at about 9.30pm.
