One of Ireland's most famous pubs is to supply a "Happy Smoking Bus" for customers in an effort to beat the smoking ban.
Johnnie Fox's Pub in Glencullen, Co Dublin, has bought a 1952 Leyland Puma for €2,000 from a scrapyard in Belfast.
The bus has been refurbished to its original condition, according to manager Mr Tony McMahon.
He said they initially wanted to buy the bus to match the paraphernalia outside Johnnie Fox's pub. But with the emerging smoking ban, Mr McMahon found a new purpose for the bus.
Under the smoking ban legislation, a moving vehicle could be classed as a workplace. To avoid this, the bus will be parked outside the pub and no staff members will be allowed on board.
The bus will be used as a smoking area for the early stages of the smoking ban. This is to allow people to readjust themselves, as the bus is not a permanent feature, said marketing director Mr Fred Rainert. He denied the bus was a way to attract new customers.
