THE Chief Constable of Norfolk, Mr Colin Port, who leads the inquiry into the murder of Lurgan, Co Armagh, solicitor Ms Rosemary Nelson, has appealed for information from the public to bring her killers to justice. Ms Nelson died after a bomb, planted by loyalist paramilitaries, exploded under her car on March 15th.

Mr Port said he required assistance in tracing several people who could hold vital clues, among them two women with clipboards who were seen in the area about a month before the killing.

He also wanted to speak to a woman who was dropped off by a taxi near Ms Nelson's house early on March 15th and hoped to trace several vehicles, including an old-style Vauxhall Nova and a white saloon car, both travelling near Ms Nelson's home the night before the killing. Anyone with information should ring two special lines. They are Freephone 0845 6066502 and Norwich 01603 617295.
