Four people have been interviewed by gardaí in relation to the alleged false imprisonment of the organiser of a pyramid scheme in Clonakilty, west Cork.

A woman reported that she was threatened by a gang of people who were demanding their money back after becoming involved in a variation of the Liberty pyramid scheme.

The incident allegedly occurred last week when she said she was forced to go to an ATM by irate pyramid scheme investors who made her withdraw money.

Files to the DPP are pending.
