A SPOKESMAN for Lord Williams's chambers said yesterday the QC was prohibited, while the Reynolds case was going on, from responding to the statement issued by Mr Fergus Finlay on Wednesday.
Similarly, a spokeswoman for the Sunday Times solicitors said they could not confirm the comments in Mr Finlay's statement while the trial was in progress. However, she said counsel for the Sunday Times, Mr James Price, had said in court that Mr Reynolds's legal team had indicated they would be objecting to much of Mr Finlay's evidence.
