Private equity group Quinlan Private has announced the establishment of a new luxury hotel company called Maybourne Hotel Group.
The group will own and manage London hotels The Berkeley, Claridges, The Connaught and The Savoy
The four hotels were were bought last year by a group of investors led and advised by Quinlan Private. They were previously previously managed by the Savoy Group which has been dissolved following the recent sale of The Savoy.
Ms Geraldine McKenna, previously executive vice-president of the Savoy Group, has been appointed chief executive of the new group.
The company will be headquartered in London but in a statement said it is actively seeking other opportunities to acquire and develop luxury hotels worldwide.
"This is an exciting day," said Mr Derek Quinlan, chairman of Quinlan Private. "There is a clear gap in the market for a group managing only landmark super-luxury hotel properties."
