Four of the five main presidential candidates will take part in a debate at the MacGill school in Glenties, Co Donegal tonight.
Fine Gael’s Gay Mitchell, Labour’s Michael D Higgins and Independents Mary Davis and Seán Gallagher will each speak for 12 minutes, followed by a question-and-answer session with the audience, chaired by RTÉ’s Seán O’Rourke. Organisers said Senator David Norris could not take part. The event begins at 8.30pm at the Highlands Hotel.
