Gardaí are investigating an armed raid on a cash-in-transit security van in Drogheda.
Four men are understood to have been involved in the raid which took place at Drogheda Industrial Estate.
Two men approached the van’s driver and threatened him with what appeared to be a shotgun shortly after 11am.
A cash box with an undisclosed sum of money was taken by the men who made their escape in a red car with a 97-D registration, gardaí said.

The car was discovered a short time later at the Knightswood Estate just outside Drogheda.
