At around 4am, the masked men entered the rear of Clarke's bakery in Cabra and assaulted two employees before tying them up. The raiders then ransacked the premises and fled with the cash.

The alarm was raised a short time later by another member of staff who managed to free his colleagues. The men were taken to hospital, but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
