Cricket: Rain prevented any play before lunch on the third day of the second test between England and Sri Lanka at Edgbaston this morning.
The players were still warming up 30 minutes before the scheduled start but the covers were brought on after a heavy downpour.
Rain fell steadily throughout the first session although brighter weather was forceast later in the day.
England finished the second day in a dominant position, restricting Sri Lanka to 86 for four in their second innings. The tourists still trail England by 68 runs.
