Racing faces another blank day after the jumps meeting at Sandown was called off this morning.
Waterlogging put paid to the fixture - the only one of today's originally scheduled cards to survive the foot-and-mouth outbreak.
Sandown has been very badly hit by wet weather this season and six of its eight planned meetings have now been washed out.
Tomorrow's Imperial Cup fixture is also subject to inspection.
Deputy clerk of the course Brian Clifford said: "Racing has been abandoned for today and we will have a look this afternoon for tomorrow. I would think the Grand Military Gold Cup could be transferred to Saturday.
"It was a relatively dry night but we had an unprecedented amount of rain yesterday afternoon - the forecast was for 2 mm or 3 mm but we got just over 10 mm in a short space of time.
"Parts of the course are moving under your feet and it is not safe." PA
