The former director of operations of the "Real IRA" has been ordered to pay an €820,000 tax bill by the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB).
Liam Campbell, who is currently serving a five-year sentence in Portlaoise Prison for membership of an illegal organisation, was served with an assessment notice by the bureau yesterday morning. If Campbell does not pay his tax bill, the bureau will seize his assets.
The 40-year-old father of two is from Upper Faughert, near Dundalk.
