The Fianna Fail cumann in Castlebar loyal to Independent TD Beverley Flynn meets tonight to discuss a possible challenge to a order from party headquarters to disband.
However, it was expected that a final decision on legal action, including a possible temporary injunction, might have to be deferred due to the absence of the cumann's chair, Mr John Browne, due to a family bereavement.
Fianna Fáil accused members of the Mícheál Ó Moráin cumann in Castlebar of trying to undermine the party by continuing its close association with Ms Flynn who was expelled from the party following her defeat in a libel case she took against RTE.
