Hurling quarter-fiinals: For the second weekend running, Cork produced a stirring comeback to keep the All-Ireland prospects intact with a 2-19 to 2-17 win over Clare.
Clare dominated for much of the contest and held a commanding 1-10 to 0-05 lead at half-time.
But goals from substitutes Timmy McCarthy and Kieran Murphy dragged the Rebels back into the contest as Clare's challenge wilted at Semple Stadium.
Ben O'Connor, who finished with a personal tally of seven points, was hugely influential for the winners while another replacement, Neil Ronan, also made a telling intervention.
Earlier in the day, Waterford progressed to the semi-finals after overcoming Wexford at Semple Stadium this afternoon.
Davy Fitzgerald's men, who will now meet Tipperaray, profitted from second-half goals by Stephen Doyle and Willie Doran to win 2-19 to 3-15 and reach the last four.
