Racing:Recharge appears to have been found the perfect opportunity to record a first win of the season in the Bulmers Live Glencairn Stakes at Leopardstown.
The Cape Cross colt has hit the crossbar three times this season, chasing home multiple Group One winner Fame And Glory in both the Mooresbridge Stakes and the Tattersalls Gold Cup. He drops back to Listed level for tonight’s evening meeting and his trainer Kevin Prendergast is hopeful his charge can record a deserved success.
"He's been running well all year and has been unlucky to run into Fame And Glory twice. He got chinned both times but he looks to have a good chance in a race like this," said Prendergast.
"He couldn't be in better form, he's in great shape and the ground should be grand, so we'll see how he gets on."
Recharge will not face a straightforward task however, with the likes of Rayeni, Duff and Six Of Hearts all likely to put up a fight.
The first race gets under way at 6.05pm with the Glencairn Stakes going to post at 7.35pm. There is also racing from Clonmel with the first race on the card at 6.05pm.
