The EsatBT Young Scientist and Technology competition has received over 1,000 entries this year, the highest number in the competition's 41-year history.
A record total of 1,064 projects were submitted, up 22 per cent on last year, and with preliminary judging stage complete, students who have made the final shortlist of 480 are now finalising their projects for display in the RDS.
The four categories in which projects are submitted are Biological & Ecological Sciences; Social & Behavioural Sciences; Chemical, Physical & Mathematical Sciences and Technology.
The Esat BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition is open to exhibiting students from Tuesday, 11th January, and will welcome the public from Thursday 13th - Saturday 15th January 2005.
