Mr George Redmond yesterday protested at the tribunal that he was not getting a fair hearing and that he was being interrupted by counsel.
Mr Pat Hanratty SC, for the tribunal, had been asking Mr Redmond about his contact with Mr Michael Bailey who he hoped would be interested in buying land at Mulhuddart. Mr Hanratty asked what he envisaged for the lands.
Mr Redmond said he wanted somebody to take over the lands and build on them. There was a difficulty with the Mulhuddart lands as there was a dense Corporation estate on the west side and another on the east side.
At one stage when Mr Hanratty spoke, Mr Redmond said: "I'm trying to answer and again I'm interrupted. I know that you've (chairman) given no ruling in my favour, but would you ask Mr Hanaratty to let me expand on that, please?"
The chairman said he could expand on this occasion as to why he wanted to encourage development of the Mulhuddart land.
"I`m sorry, Sole Person, not just on this occasion. I'm fully justified in asking to allow me to make a statement. I'm asked a question, and then suddenly in the middle of it all, when he (Hanratty) is not getting what suits him, he immediately interrupts," said Mr Redmond.
The chairman said could he be kind enough to assist them as to why he wanted to interest a builder in the Mulhuddart land.
"That was my intention, as you know," said Mr Redmond.
The chairman told him: "Now will you please get on with it."
