Paris - About 200 Kurdish refugees, part of a group of over 900 dumped by human traffickers on France's southern coast, have left their camp after the government gave them freedom of movement, French officials said.
Most have left the overcrowded Red Cross camp with their families on their own, and many headed for the German border, hoping to cross. Others have taken organised bus trips to other Red Cross camps, from where those who want to will be able to pursue applications for asylum or head elsewhere.
