Refugees fly out for Kosovo

A second group of 127 Koso van refugees will leave the State this morning under the programme of voluntary repatriation

A second group of 127 Koso van refugees will leave the State this morning under the programme of voluntary repatriation. They will board a flight early this morning from Shannon Airport directly to Pristina, Kosovo.

The Minister of State, Ms Liz O'Donnell, will be at the airport to wish them a safe journey. "Refugees returning this week do so entirely voluntarily and with the added benefit of information about the conditions on the ground from those who returned at the beginning of August," she said.

Adult refugees will each receive a repatriation grant of £600 and £300 for each child.
