Care group Rehab is to begin an internal review of its policies and procedures for all trips abroad following the disappearance for five days of Mr Brendan Brady in Paris.

A spokesman for RehabCare told ireland.comthat although he does not believe the guidelines were breached in the case of Mr Brady there would be a review of procedures for trips abroad.

"We have strict guidelines on policies and procedures for all trips and I'm confident they stood up well," the spokesman said.  "There's not much more we could have done."

Mr Brady disappeared at EuroDisney last Wednesday and was found by police yesterday evening sitting on a park bench at the Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Mr Brady (42) said he had absent-mindedly followed a crowd into Chessy train station, mistaking them for his group of 10 from RehabCare. Realising his mistake he bought a ticket back to the city, where he spent five days looking for his hotel.

Four of Mr Brady's family flew out to meet him in Paris yesterday and later this afternoon he will be joined by his mother and aunt. The family is expected back in Dublin tomorrow evening.
