Wimbledon:A relaxed Roger Federer outclassed Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-2 6-2 6-4 to waltz into the third round at Wimbledon today.

The number two seed, bidding for a sixth Wimbledon crown and a record 15th grand slam title, barely broke sweat as he sent out an ominous message to the rest of the field.

As a contest it was all over once Federer broke serve in the third game of the match and the remainder of the one hour 29 minute stroll was pure exhibition stuff.

"I played too straightforward and maybe a liitle too much attack for him," said Federer, who lost in last year's final to Rafael Nadal. "I could even try a few things in the third set."

Federer, the favourite to win the title in the absence of injured champion Nadal, will play either Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber or Czech Ivo Minar in the third round.

Earlier world number four Novak Djokovic had little trouble overcoming unseeded German Simon Greul in their second round clash on Court One.

The 7-5 6-1 6-4 victory sees the fourth seed surpass his previous performance at the All England Club when he was defeated at the same stage last year by Marat Safin.

The Serbian followed up his first round victory over Julien Benneteau with a more assured display against Greul to set up a third round meeting with Mardy Fish.

Serve and volley specialist Fish, seeded 28, overcame Serbian Janko Tipsarevic 6-4 3-6 6-1 6-4 in an entertaining match on Court Two.

Number nine seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was earlier the first player to reach the third round of Wimbledon after last 64 opponent Simone Bolelli withdrew through injury.

French number two Tsonga, who reached the final of the Australian Open in 2008, will face either Croatian 22nd seed Ivo Karlovic or Steve Darcis of Belgium for a place in the last 16.

Germany's Rainer Schuettler was the first male seed to crash out at the second hurdle. The number 18 seed and 2008 semi-finalist was blown away in straight sets by Israel's Dudi Sela 7-6 6-3 6-2.
