The Minister for Health has paid tribute to the founders of the Central Remedial Clinic, Dublin, which marked its 50th anniversary with a ceremony in City Hall last night.
Mr Martin praised the "ceaseless" work of Lady Valerie Goulding, which helped to transform the clinic from a single-room premises with two patients in 1951 to its current status as "one of the main national, non-statutory agencies, providing a comprehensive range of services to almost 3,000 children and 500 adults with disabilities".
