The three fishmongers of Moore Street, who were threatened with losing their right to sell fish, were told yesterday at a meeting with Dublin Corporation officials that they will have their licences renewed before the end of the year. Mrs May Kavanagh, Mrs Margaret Buckley and Mrs Catherine Campion were told by the corporation in March that their fish licences would not be renewed in December, but that they could sell fruit, flowers or vegetables. They were given no reason for the decision to halt fish-selling on the street. They argued that they had been selling fish all their lives and could not abruptly switch trades.
