The family of a young sportsman who is believed to have died in the Bali bomb attack is set to celebrate his life at a requiem Mass in Co Tipperary next weekend.
Mr Edward Waller (26), a former student at Trinity College Dublin, was touring Bali with his rugby team when they were caught in last Saturday's bombings. He and his team-mates were in a taxi outside Bali's Sari nightclub when the bomb there went off.
Although there has been no official confirmation, Mr Waller's brother, Tom, said yesterday he was certain Edward had died. Mr Waller was born in London but it is understood that he has relatives living in Co Tipperary.
He had been living and working in Hong Kong for the past two years and had gone to Bali as captain of a Hong Kong rugby team.
His brother Tom, a film director in London, said the requiem Mass would be said for him at a church in Ballycommon, Co Tipperary, on Saturday October 26th, so that family and friends could celebrate his life.
