Twelve Sisters of the Infant Jesus were evacuated from a retirement home in Mallow, Co Cork, yesterday when the roof of the building caught fire during re-felting work and spread to the home.
Three units of Mallow Fire Brigade fought the blaze at Bellvue Retirement Home in Mallow. No one was injured.
