A MASSIVE search operation will take place along the banks of the River Shannon this weekend for a 20-year-old man who has been missing from his home since the beginning of the year.
Shane Moran from Sexton Street, Thomondgate, Limerick, has been missing since January 10th last. He was last seen on the Shannon Bridge on the Dock Road in Limerick city where gardaí believe he was spotted entering the river Shannon.
Searches of the river and surrounding areas have been carried out but there has been no sightings of Mr Moran who is 5ft 5in in height, of slight build with black hair.
Up to 150 people will take part in the two-day search, leaving today at 8am from St Michael’s rowing club in Limerick.
