Police are hunting two armed robbers who raided a newsagents in Manchester – and made off with a single packet of crisps.
The raiders, one carrying an axe and the other a hammer, entered the shop in Little Hulton, Greater Manchester, on Sunday afternoon and demanded cash but left empty-handed.
They then returned and made off with a packet of Monster Munch.
“These men have twice entered the shop armed with weapons and threatened the owner yet have risked their liberty for a single bag of crisps,” said Greater Manchester Police spokeswoman.
“That said the quantity of goods stolen in no way lessens the seriousness of this crime, which is an armed robbery, plain and simple. ”
Police, who did not reveal which flavour of the snack was taken, have asked anyone with information to contact them.
